As part of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), the Quality and Risk Specialist supports Project Managers in ensuring project deliverables meet technical and quality standards. They support quality programs to reduce errors and ensure consistent results. This role also involves supporting risk management in liaison with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and supports updates and training on the Project Management Methodology (PMM).
Key functions include:
- Support the implementation of the annual EPMO Program and Project Assessment Plan. Conduct project assessments to ensure adherence to the Project Management and Delivery Methodology (PMM), including gate reviews (Gate 3, 4, and 5) to verify that exit criteria are met.
- Contributes to updates and improvements of the EPMO's Project Management Methodology. Assist with corrective actions, knowledge transfer, and training for EPMO team members.
- Provide guidance and training on project risk management, especially for major projects, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
- Supports technology projects in establishing quality plans.
Our ideal teammate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a diploma from a 2-year technical program (those with a technical diploma will require an additional two years of experience)
- Six years of quality assurance/project management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma, Risk Management and certifications such as PMP or CAPM will be considered as an asset.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
