Shift: Full-time hours - Morning/Night 12-hour shifts
- Morning: 6:45 am - 7:15 pm
- Night: 6:45 pm - 7:15 am
Pay: $17.50/hr
Position Overview:
Advantage Personnel is seeking Production Workers to support our client's large-scale fresh and frozen food operations in Glenholme, NS. In this role, you'll assist with picking, packing, quality control, and material movement within a freezer/warehouse environment. Our client is a global leader known for quality and integrity, and we're looking for dependable associates who can thrive in a cold, fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack food products, including handling totes of berries for transfer to secondary locations within the warehouse.
- Sort and package products in freezer conditions.
- Perform basic quality control checks to ensure product standards.
- Work on an assembly line; load/unload product to and from the line.
- Operate production or packaging machinery (training provided).
- Handle materials safely, including moving totes using appropriate equipment.
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and plant procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly (heavier assisted lifts may be team-handled).
- Comfortable working in cold/freezer conditions ranging from -25°C to +5°C.
- Able to perform repetitive, fast-paced tasks over 12-hour shifts.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating days/nights.
- Follows instructions, safety rules, and plant processes.
- Works independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Must be able to provide (or obtain) a clean criminal background check.
- Safety (steel-toe) footwear required; warm, layered clothing recommended under PPE.
Work Conditions:
- Freezer/warehouse environment: temperatures from approximately -25°C to +5°C.
- Extended standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Use of PPE; dressing in layers strongly recommended.
- Exposure to wet or slippery surfaces in some areas.
- 12-hour shifts (days/nights) may include weekends depending on production demands.
