The Role:
We are looking for a Sales Data Steward to join our Sales Operations team at our office in Blacks Harbour, NB. As a Sales Data Steward, your main responsibility is to make sure that the sales data we use is accurate, organized, and meets the needs of the business. You will help create and follow standards for how data is managed and ensure everyone follows them.
Sales Data Stewards are very important because they guide how data is used and help the company move toward making decisions based on reliable information. They support the organization in making the most out of its data.
In this role, you will help manage our key sales information throughout its lifecycle, helping us become better at analyzing data. You will also help set up processes to ensure data is well-organized and reliable. This role is crucial in starting the supply process, making sure products are delivered properly, and keeping our customers happy. You will also keep an eye on importantdata related to products, customers, and relationships to support smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Data quality management:
- Manage, control, and monitor data quality throughout the data lifecycle by ensuring that data is fit for its intended use and easy to access
- Keep our data in good shape by listening to feedback, tracking issues, reviewing reports, and making corrections when needed
- Help guide and support the company's overall approach to managing key business data
Process:
- Work with the business to clearly define what data we need and what rules should apply to it, to ensure reports and decisions are accurate
- Help set clear definitions for data and how it should be used
- Manage and standardize information like product and customer details across Cooke's different companies and teams
- Build simple, clear processes for how we manage data and make sure they're followed
- Look for ways to improve how we work and communicate around data
- Control daily setup of products and customer data
A successful candidate will be:
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience working with CRM and ERP systems
- Energized in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- A problem solver by nature
- Familiarity with master data management (MDM) principles and practices is considered an asset
- Experience in a seafood industry would be an asset
