JOB PURPOSE

The Zone Manager has zone-wide responsibilities for an assigned modality or modalities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Radiology Technology. Must be registered with the New Brunswick Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Must have five years of clinical experience and three years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Zone Manager is responsible for:

• Organization, planning and managing the modality/modalities
• Participating in strategic and operational planning for the modality/modalities
• Coordinating resources and managing patient flow to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Develping and ensuring compliance with standards, policies and procedures
• Providing staff orientation and participating in staff development programs
• Identifying and mediating equipment maintenance and repairs
• Assisting with the coordination and management of student placements and assignments
• Serving as a clinical practice leader for the modality
