Position: Division 10 Specialties Estimator

Location: Dartmouth, N.S.
Type: Full-Time

Summary:

As a Division 10 Specialties Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase by reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate and competitive estimates. This role offers hands-on training and growth opportunities for individuals with a background or interest in construction and estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop and submit bid proposals in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in internal estimator meetings and address Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Maintain and update internal cost databases and vendor pricing records.
• Build familiarity with Division 10 products and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, vendors, and the estimating team.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in estimating, construction, or related field, or equivalent education/training.
• Basic knowledge of architectural and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with estimating software is an asset.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment.
