The Perception, Robotics, and Intelligent Machines (PRIME) research group and the AI for Health Research Chair at the Université de Moncton is inviting applications for three postdoctoral positions in the exciting and rapidly evolving fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics (Wildfires, Health and Biomedical applications, Industrial applications - see other competitions). These positions are part of PRIME/AI Chair's strategic research initiatives aimed at addressing real-world challenges through cutting-edge AI and robotics technologies.
Cross-Collaboration and Environment
While each postdoc will focus on a specific domain, they will have the opportunity to collaborate across projects and fields within PRIME/Chair, encouraging interdisciplinary learning and innovation. The lab has seen significant growth in collaborative and industrial research, offering opportunities to work on real-world, high-impact projects with academic, governmental, and industrial partners.

- ANNUAL SALARY: $50,000 to $55,000, depending on experience
- FULL TIME: 35 hours/week
- TEMPORARY POSITION: 1 year, with renewal possibility
- START DATE: Autumn 2025

Postdoctoral Position in AI and Robotics for Industrial Applications
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role targets the development of intelligent systems for industrial automation, robotics, and energy optimization.
Research Focus:
- Autonomous and intelligent robotics for industrial environments
- AI for energy efficiency and smart systems
- Anomaly detection in sensor and operational data
- Sim-to-real transfer for learning and deployment of AI & Robotics solutions
- Generative AI in industrial applications
- Human-robot collaboration and adaptive control
- Other topics of interest in this area
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong publication record in relevant areas
- Proficiency in Python and C++
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and others
- Familiarity with tools for data processing, simulation, and visualization
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
ASSETS:
- Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System) is a strong asset, especially for robotics related projects
OTHER:
- A criminal background check will be required prior to hiring.
