Reporting to the Director of Group Insurance, you will oversee all activities related to pricing group insurance quotes, renewals, and plan option requests. You'll play a key role in developing and updating pricing assumptions, maintaining a strong focus on market competitiveness, and actively contributing to the evolution of our products.
Your actuarial expertise will allow you to lead in-depth profitability analyses and provide strategic recommendations to enhance the overall performance of our portfolio.

Team Leadership and Management
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of professionals in actuarial and underwriting
• Oversee training, onboarding, and performance evaluations

Pricing and Actuarial Expertise
• Design and maintain pricing models for group insurance products
• Conduct in-depth actuarial analyses and profitability studies

Process Optimization and Strategy
• Improve pricing processes and ensure quality control
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Evaluate special requests and collaborate with Sales to meet client needs while respecting pricing policies
Market Intelligence and Innovation
• Monitor market trends and participate in industry surveys
• Recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness and profitability
• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance tools and systems
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science
- FSA or FICA designation obtained, or ASA/AICA in progress toward FSA/FICA
- Minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience, including at least 5 years in team management (including remote team management)
- Solid understanding of group insurance contracts, laws, and regulations across various provinces
- In-depth knowledge of group insurance pricing
- Knowledge of financial agreements (e.g., retention or administrative services only agreements)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
