Your Contribution

Your main responsibilities

More specifically, your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

  • Soil sampling by a variety of techniques, including supervision of borehole and test pit programs;
  • Logging and sampling of soil samples for further classification and analysis;
  • Installation of ground water monitoring wells and ground water sampling;
  • Research and site inspections in connection with Phase I ESAs;
  • Supervision of site remediation activities;
  • Manage, analyze, and interpret a variety of environmental data;
  • Oversee aquifer testing and analysis (slug test and pumping tests);
  • Complete hydrogeological assessments and investigations;
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with project teams including field personnel, project managers, draft persons and administrative staff using interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget;
  • Office based activities include the co-ordination of field work (scheduling underground service locates and contractors), data input, and drafting (site plans, borehole logs); and,
  • Field work in all seasons may be required;
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

Your Profile

What makes you unique

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline or successful completion of an Environmental Technician degree/diploma;
  • Previous experience and a working knowledge of Excel and Word processing software (Microsoft Office) will be an asset;
  • Experience working in drilling, sampling, and remediation oversight is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II ESAs);
  • Knowledge of O.Reg. 153/04;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • A valid G driver's license and full-time access to a vehicle which may be used to travel to and from site;
  • Good physical condition/ occasional heavy lifting may be required;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Attention to detail and problem solving;
  • Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and schedules on short notice.
