The East Hants Aquatic Centre, is an inclusive and fully accessible aquatics facility featuring lap pool, leisure pool, lazy river, hot tub, waterslide and climbing wall. This state-of-the-art facility provides East Hants and surrounding areas with a diverse variety of aquatic programming and other recreation-based activities.

We are accepting applications for Team Lead

The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing swim lessons and recreational programming during our year-round evening and weekend programming.

Responsibilities: Ensuring classes are taught in a safe and professional manner by checking lesson plans and worksheets of instructors on a regular basis, as well as providing lifeguards and instructors with continuous evaluations and suggestions for ongoing improvement. A key component of the Team Lead position is supervising a team through the daily operation of the Aquatic Centre. These duties include opening/closing procedures, following and ensuring all operational checklists are completed with accuracy and delegating and managing the team.

Qualifications:

· Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Service (Pool option)

· Swim for Life Instructor

· Intermediate First Aid with CPR "C"

· Lifesaving Instructor and examiner certification an asset

· Two years lifeguarding, or other work experience required, preferably in a customer service environment

· Demonstrated interest in personal growth and leadership

· A champion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with skills to foster a welcoming and accessible environment

Hourly Rate: $20.00 p/hour
