About Us

Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS) is undergoing a clinical transformation to implement a new Health Information System (HIS) throughout the province to enable health services. The transformation is the largest health care system implementation ever launched in Newfoundland and Labrador. About the Role

The CorCare Change Management, Communication and Training team is responsible for engaging, enabling, training and supporting the readiness and adoption of the new HIS. The Training team is responsible for developing, providing and maintaining an educational program that meets needs of end users to effectively use system in their daily work.

This position will report to the CorCare Training Manager and will support zonal training activities and manage training site logistics to ensure all training course participants are provided with the required tools prior to launch of the CorCare. The CorCare Zonal Training Registration & Logistics Manager will also manage the Credentialed Trainers (end user trainers) for their respective zone. This role requires a highly motivated and engaged individual who will support the readiness and adoption of CorCare by the end users.

Main Responsibilities

  • Effectively support training activities for CorCare including but not limited to:
    • Managing a team of Credentialed Trainers (end user trainers) and maintaining training schedules within the zone, in collaboration with the CorCare Training Manager
    • Performing administrative duties in the Learning Management System (LMS) and reporting on registration and training milestones, in collaboration with the CorCare training management team
    • Assisting end users with the CorCare training registration process and ensuring registration for training sessions for end-users (both in-person and virtual) is completed in the LMS
    • Assisting in the planning and scheduling of training sessions and development of class schedules within the zone
    • Coordinating the logistics for training sessions, including oversight of classroom preparation
    • Organizing and preparing new course starter packs with the required course materials, as needed
    • Communicating requests for curriculum updates to the training team and ensuring all required materials are available for the end users
  • Support training coordination and operational effectiveness
    • Meeting timelines and milestones for all assigned work and escalating delays or challenges as appropriate
    • Remaining flexible in supporting unscheduled training requests, as needed
    • Evaluating training program outcomes and recommending improvements, in collaboration with the training management team
    • Providing assistance and updates to leadership on details relating to the registration of end users in the respective learning activities
    • Being visible and accessible during the go-live period to provide immediate assistance and address end user challenges, questions and concerns

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in a Clinical Discipline, Business, Communications, Education or relevant discipline.
  • Leadership and management training preferred.

Experience

  • Five (5) years? experience within the last seven (7) in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Experience working in a leadership or management role is required.
  • Experience working in a people management role is preferred.
  • Recent project management experience is preferred.
  • Experience with digital health technology and associated implementation preferred.
