The Senior Manager, Product Finance will support a small, high-impact team and report to the Director, Product Finance, Tangerine. A key purpose of the role will support strong rigor around Tangerine business line financials with direct accountability for business line results and forecasting for a $50Bn product portfolio and supporting over $1Bn in revenue. This team will take a business line focused approach and work closely with and complement the existing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within Tangerine.
They will maintain and analyze strategic business P&L models by combining financial data with client analytical data to determine future revenue and earnings to help the business partners with various client and product strategies. They will also support all matters related to treasury, including distribution of product funds transfer pricing (FTP) rates from treasury to the business lines in order to support timely, comprehensive and robust pricing decisions, including knowledge of key factors impacting these rates. The Senior Manager will also support deep dives or additional requests into treasury-related, business lines or product questions as required.
The Senior Manager will work directly with and support the Tangerine business line teams and key stakeholders across both Tangerine and Canadian Banking Finance as required.

- Support a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Perform Business Case Analysis & Modelling
- Develop and maintain strategic business P&L models to support the business with future revenue and earnings projections.
- Partner with the product and analytics teams to analyze the quality and value of client segments from a revenue and net earnings perspective and estimate the financial impact of various initiatives the teams may undertake (new segment strategies, product features, cross selling strategy etc.).
- Develop clear, compelling and insight-driven strategic narratives to influence decision-making at senior leadership levels.
- Support ongoing and ad-hoc analyses as required
- Lead and/or contribute to cross-functional initiatives, committees, strategic projects, and new priorities across the organization; act as subject matter expert on product financials and lead financial analysis/modelling of new business cases
- Conduct Stress Testing by reviewing and challenging business line submissions & assumptions for each stress scenario in order to provide insightful commentary to BNS and OSFI as required (for 5-year consolidated financials).
- Actively work with Scotiabank Treasury, ensuring all relevant business updates are being communicated, particularly where there are potential implications to bank funding.
- Stay up-to-date on potential changes to FTP, market rates and macro conditions, ensuring rates received are accurate and in-line with any changes and observations within product portfolios.
- Work closely with business lines as required to understand the trends, details and nuances of their businesses and products and any financial implications, including pricing recommendations.
- Support deep dives or additional requests into treasury-related items.
- Have accountability for active maintenance of all business lines financial models to ensure latest business line inputs and economic assumptions are being used to derive the most accurate and up-to-date forecasts as possible. All models are reviewed and refined on a regular basis (e.g. quarterly) in partnership with the business lines.
- Assist in developing front-end data visualization tools and dashboards (e.g. Looker Studio, Power BI, etc.) in order to directly support the Tangerine Executive Leadership Team's ability to understand our financial results and make critical and timely business decisions.
- Enable both the business lines and broader Tangerine team to have access to key financial results, targets and insights relevant to their function.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have experience with:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience at a financial institution in Finance, Product Economics and Business Strategy roles
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience at a financial institution, leading complex, multi-facet projects, process improvement initiatives and/or technology roadmaps
- Advanced financial modelling and analytics capabilities
- Experience interacting with senior executives on a regular basis
- Well round experience developing clear, compelling and insight-driven strategic narratives to influence decision-making
