Title: Shipper/Receiver, Forklift Operator

Pay: $24.00

Shifts: Monday to Friday

Hours: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Location: Ottawa, ON

Job Responsibilities

• Arrive promptly 15 minutes before the yard opens (6:45 AM), attired in clean clothes that meet safety requirements of the position (e.g., hi-vis outerwear, steel toes, etc.).
• Complete daily sign-in/out sheets.
• Complete daily inspections.
• Ensure accurate picking and loading of delivery trucks and customers' vehicles, observing all health and safety regulations.
• Prepare and palletize products for shipment.
• Load and offload incoming/outgoing shipments.
• Restock yard and warehouse inventory.
• Maintain yard and warehouse in a clean, efficient, organized manner.
• Daily/Weekly garbage and recyclables collection from all offices, removed to appropriate bins.

Maintenance and Cleanliness of Yard/Warehouse to Include:

• Sweeping of barn lower and upper levels.
• Keep skid area organized, cut up and dispose of garbage skids as required.
• Keep geotextile storage areas clean of strapping, plastic wrap, etc.
• Keep patio/display area clean.
• Keep yard clear of weeds and debris.
• Minor building repair work.

Requirements

• Must have valid forklift certification.
• Safety Equipment: CSA approved steel-toed boots.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
