The Chapman Group is assisting their clients, The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce in seeking a new Marketing and Content Coordinator to join their fantastic team. Reporting to the Policy & Strategic Communications Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the development and timely delivery of internal and external communications. The position plays a vital role in updating chamber members, diverse stakeholder groups, and the media aware of the efforts to support its membership through advocacy, events, programs and services. The role will support the organization's overall communications and will require working closely with all members of the team.

The typical work week will be spent on a combination of marketing, media relations, internal and external communications, including social media posts on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube, as well as posting updates on the website; creating and editing written, visual, audio and video materials, and the overall coordination of content gathering requirements.
Marketing:
· Assist and coordinate the development of content, implementing, maintaining, and tracking communications and promotions across a variety of digital channels to uphold a strong digital presence and growth of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce brand.
· Support Fredericton Chamber of Commerce online marketing strategy and execute communications plan and messages through website, social media channels and various messaging platforms.
· Manage Fredericton Chamber of Commerce social media presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, Faceboo, X and YouTube. Ensure proper audience focus and work collaboratively with other staff members to develop a monthly content calendar.
· Track and analyze website and social media channel performance.
· Stay on top of new social media channels and trends to maintain best practices across all channels/social media platforms and make recommendations for any new opportunities.
· Shoot, edit and upload low-production video content from Chamber events
· Participate in editorial and production teams for professional digital media content, as relevant
· Provide media relations support leading up to and at Chamber online and in-person events.
Internal and External Communications:
· Disseminate, copy and produce marketing elements contributing to each pillar of the Chamber's Communications and Marketing Strategies.
· Assist in the development of internal and external communications, as assigned, to engage target audiences; research, suggest ideas, and coordinate the publishing of original website stories and content; maintain accurate, up-to-date content, as well as initiate website improvements.
· Assist in the development of print and electronic marketing materials such as invitations, posters, html links, brochures, and flyers, working with suppliers as needed.
· Manage and regularly update stakeholder e-distribution databases.
· Attend chamber events, including evening events.
· Maintain positive relationships with chamber members, partners and other stakeholders
· Use chamber tools and resources as appropriate
· Utilize and edit basic copywriting for marketing campaigns, and promotional materials.
· Work with Chamber's Communications & Marketing Committee to execute and implement Communications, Marketing and Social Media Strategy
· Create and implement a Style Guide for use by all staff for all external communications.
· Attend required professional development opportunities such as training sessions, events, and conferences.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2-5 years experience in internet marketing with a background in SEO, SEM, social media, and web-related projects is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of social media sites, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 (including Co-Pilot), Canva, CRMs in a MacBook environment
Demonstrated ability to lead successful social media campaigns; Ability to:
- Deliver effective and innovative digital campaigns ideas and support.
- Draft (or oversee drafting of) brochures, publications, and presentations using tools such as PowerPoint, Canva and Constant Contact, quickly establish priorities and deadlines and manage workload accordingly.
- Work in a collaborative manner, within a team, creative agency, independently and with a diverse group of interests.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with accuracy, flexibility, and judgment
- Work occasional evenings and weekends during peak periods (compensated through time-in-lieu).
- Execute strong story-telling or journalistic abilities.
Compensation:
This is a full-time position with a salary range of between $55,000-$60,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience, as well as a broad benefits package.
