Order Picker

Title: Order Picker- Warehouse - Evening Shift

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Shifts: Wednesday, Sunday, & Friday

Hours: 4:00 pm to 12:30 am

Location: Ottawa East

We are hiring Order Pickers on behalf of one of Canada's Largest Food Distributors located in the East End of Ottawa. In this role, you play an integral role by collecting the right amount of produce or grocery items to be sent out to local grocery stores. You'll be working with Electric Walkies, Pallet Jacks, Printers, label makers, and within a cool refrigerated environment. Your career can start today!

Requirements:

• A motivated worker with at least 2 years of Order Selector experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
• Experience operating a rider pallet jack machine.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift products for extended periods of time in multi-temperature environments.
• CSA approved steel-toed safety boots are required for safety reasons.
• Criminal record check may be required as part of the onboarding process.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team, and with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Picking orders based off Bills of Lading - paper pick sheets.
• Consistent lifting of up to 50lbs.
• Previous experience with Pallet Jack equipment preferred.
• Working within a cool-refrigerated environment.
• Meeting picking targets.
• Loading pallets and helping to move into specific shipping areas.
• General warehouse duties as assigned.
• Integrate well into a culture where Health & Safety is a priority, by complying with safety standards and regulations.
• Help to maintain sanitation and food quality standards.
