We are offering a unique opportunity for the right individual to join the Corporate Services Team as Payroll/ Systems Administrator based in our St. George, NB office reporting to the Payroll & HR Technology Manager.

The Role

This position will require strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. The primary duties of this role involve confidentially managing and processing payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees utilizing a trucking software system.

Responsibilities:

  • Inputting driver hours, miles, freight weight, and other relevant data into the trucking software system.
  • Calculating driver pay, deductions, and preparing direct deposit payments

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Creating and managing driver records within the system, including updates related to hires, terminations, changes, and other relevant information.
  • Answering driver questions related to payroll, deductions, and other compensation matters.
  • Auditing payroll information, reconciling payroll, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Ensuring data flow between the payroll module and other modules within the trucking software.
  • Utilizing the system's timecard tracking or timekeeping features to record driver and maintenance hours, including overtime, breaks, and other compensable time.
  • Incorporating driver mileage and freight data into the payroll calculation process.
  • Generating customized reports on driver payroll data, such as expense and earnings reports.
