The Law Society of New Brunswick (LSNB) is the regulatory body responsible for governing the legal profession in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. Its primary role is to protect the public interest by ensuring that lawyers in the province meet high standards of competence, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
We are seeking a Trust Compliance Auditor to join our valued team. The Trust Compliance Auditor plans, organizes, leads, and manages the Trust Account Audit Program of the Law Society in accordance with the Law Society Act, 1996, the Uniform Trust Account Rules, and the Code of Professional Conduct. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
The Trust Compliance Auditor may work remotely. Travel throughout New Brunswick will be required.
- Manage the Trust Account Audit Program
- Conduct audits and investigations
- Communicate findings and evidence in reports and presentations
- Research and develop policies, procedures and standards
- Provide trust compliance guidance and information to members and the public

- Membership in good standing with the Association of Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of New Brunswick or eligibility for membership in good standing is required
- Progressive audit experience and knowledge of the Law Society's Uniform Trust Account Rules are considered assets
- Bilingual; highly developed communications skills, both verbal and written, in English and French
Remuneration: $96,946 to $114,055 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
