Incentives & Remuneration

Base salary range $305,091.15 – $370,295.10 plus fee for service billing opportunities, paid time off (vacation and education leave), health/travel insurance benefits, sick benefits, employer paid contributions to our pension plan.

Successful applicants may be eligible to receive the following:

• Recruitment incentives available:
  
  • Urban Incentive: $50,000.00 with a 2-year return of service.
  • Rural Incentive: $100,000.00 with a 4-year return of service.
• Moving expense reimbursement is available.
• Provided administrative support and office space.

What you will do

Our ideal candidate will collaborate with other Physicians, Nursing and other Allied medical staff in the following areas:

• Community-based Addiction and Mental Health (AMH) team providing consultations and longitudinal care to patients via in-office, virtual and in-home/LTC visits
• Close collaboration with our outstanding Medicine colleagues including consultations to in-patient units
• ECT Service

All members of our department are expected to provide:

• After-hours and weekend on-call coverage for adults and children, providing care for inpatients and consultation to the emergency department (paid stipend and fee-for-service billing)
• ECT Service
• Clinical supervision of medical students and residents
  

(Note: These responsibilities are the basic and prime duties associated with this position; other related and allied duties may be assigned from time to time as may be necessary to the operation of Horizon Health Network.)

Who you are

• You have a Medical Degree from a recognized medical school and postgraduate studies (residency) in the field of Psychiatry.
• You have experience in collaborative multidisciplinary Addiction and Mental Health care.
• You have Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a valid license through New Brunswick College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick (CPSNB) and become a member of the NB Medical Society.
• You practice medicine in a manner compatible with the Health Authority's mission, values, and strategic directions. https://horizonnb.ca/about-us/our-promise.

The physician must also meet continuing education requirements, adhere to departmental and health authority policies, comply with relevant legislation, and follow professional ethical standards set by regulatory bodies.
