NL Health Services is accepting applications to fill temporary, call-in Administrative Support positions in many of our clinical and program areas. Some of the administrative support classifications which we are currently recruiting for are: Clerk I/II, Switchboard Operator, Stenographer I, Secretary I and Word Processing Equipment Operator I.
Job Demands

Regularly moves/lifts objects less than 10 lbs.
Constantly sitting and fine finger precision work when using a computer.
Regularly standing, walking, and driving to client visits.
Alertness and concentration required while frequently completing repetitive tasks and constant auditory/visual concentration required.
Job Qualifications
To qualify for all entry level administrative support positions:
Successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college is required.
Successful completion of an approved/recognized medical terminology course is required.
To qualify for higher level administrative support positions:
Successful completion of a two-year Office Administration program OR completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college supplemented by two years' experience within the last four in a progressively responsible clerical role is required.
Successful completion of an approved/recognized medical terminology course is required.
A medical transcription score of 70% is required. A medical transcription test may be administered by the Department of Human Resources.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook is required.
*Proof of a current office administration program and medical terminology is required. To be considered current, they must have been completed within the last five years, unless it has been used in recent positions. This must be demonstrated on the application form.
** If medical terminology isn't current, a medical terminology test may be administered by the Human Resources Client Services Department.
