UNIVERSITY SECRETARIAT

The University Secretariat is a unique organizational unit within the University with a comprehensive mandate. The Secretariat is the office primarily responsible for ensuring the University's proper and effective governance and its compliance with its incorporating statutes, policies, procedures, rules and regulations. The Secretariat provides unifying advice and support to the University's academic, student services and other ancillary operations.

Salary Range: $45,980 - $57,481 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Associate University Secretary (Administration and Governance), the Digital Content Administrator is responsible for maintaining the Secretariat's online presence and the Undergraduate Academic Calendar. This position also oversees and coordinates special projects.

  • Produce, edit, and distribute the Undergraduate calendar.
  • Perform ongoing development of the undergraduate calendar in the University's Content Management System.
  • Work with the Senate Curriculum Committee on both campuses to manage calendar production and ensure content is updated per Senate-approved curriculum submissions.
  • Execute project development and management as assigned by the office; this includes one-off office initiatives, process updating, policy and procedure reviews, etc.
  • Create, improve, and monitor external and internal websites using CMS and SharePoint.
  • Improve information access and continuity of digital content.
  • Perform regular audits of the Secretariats' digital resources.
  • Maintain motions database for Academic and Corporate Governing Bodies.
  • Assist with Information requests when required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience developing and completing projects.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Strengths

  • A certificate in Project Management would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of digital content systems (CMS, SharePoint).
  • High competency in various computer hardware, software, and online tools.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to assess and improve upon digital content, making recommendations to diverse functions on strategies to improve their online presence.
