We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager - Atlantic to join the Atlantic Sales team. This position will be based out of the head office in Saint John, New Brunswick and will report to the Director of Sales - Atlantic.

The Key Account Manager leads the relationship at the Category level within the New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador liquor boards. Under the direction of the Director of Sales - Atlantic, the successful candidate will be accountable for delivering customer sales volume, margin, share and related KPIs with their respective customers.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with key customer personnel to develop solutions that meet their Shopper, Category and Operational needs.
  • Continue Moosehead's journey towards Trusted Partner status with each Liqour Commission by bringing forward insights and initiatives that are grounded in research and meet identified customer needs.
  • Negotiate and deliver customer performance against business fundamentals (eg. Distribution, Shelf, Price, Promotion and Display) for Moosehead and Partner brands, while ensuring clear and timely communication to the Sales and Cross-Functional teams across Moosehead to enable strong execution.
  • Regularly assess performance against business fundamentals and develop plans, in collaboration with the Director of Sales to close any identified gaps.
  • Collaborate with key internal Stakeholders (Director of Sales, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Planning, Finance and Operations) to develop and execute Annual Customer Business Plans.
  • Work closely with the field Sales Team through regular in-field trade visits to better understand issues and challenges, as well as current types and levels of competitor activity.
  • Manage the Key Account budget, through regular tracking and reporting of spends, by brand, by activity and by Key Account.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Analytics & Support for post evaluation analysis of executed plans and programs.
  • Collaborate and assist Supply Chain teams with forecasting of promotional items and new listings.
  • Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with preference given to those with Beverage Alcohol industry experience and/or CPG Sales / Category Management experience
  • Proven record of building volume and margin with assigned retailers
  • Working exposure to discipline of Revenue Management
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills (influencing & communication skills are a must)
  • Strong strategic, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Goal oriented, sets high standards, holds self-accountable, focuses on the results with demonstrated ability of meeting objectives
  • Ability to confidently interact with senior levels of Key Account within your assigned customers (i.e. CEO's or VP's)
  • Dynamic and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated and consistent use of a disciplined sales process with customers
  • Post-secondary graduate in Business or a related field
  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools: Excel Pivot Tables, Powerpoint, Word
  • Own a reliable vehicle & hold a valid driver's license (drivers abstract will be required)
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours which may include some evenings and weekends
