Halifax Water is hiring for the job of IS Application Administrator. This is a regular opportunity in the Engineering and Technology Services Department and has full-time hours and is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

As an IS Application Administrator, you will:

  • Be responsible for the installation, configuration, support and maintenance of Halifax Water's IT Applications.
  • The primary area of focus will be ERP, predominantly Cayenta.

To do this job, you need to have:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology
  • Five years of experience as an application administrator
  • ERP experience is an asset
  • Cayenta experience is an asset
  • Hands on experience with the following:
    • Microsoft Window Operating System environments,
    • Knowledge of application data privacy practices and laws,
    • Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL,
    • Experience with the administration of business applications,
  • ITIL Certification (or willing to obtain with 6 months of being hired)
  • Certification in one of the following:
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
    • Microsoft Certified SharePoint Administrator
    • Equivalent certifications or experience may be considered
  • A valid NS driver's license and access to reliable transportation
