Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., which employs 3,600 people and operates three tire manufacturing facilities in Nova Scotia, is seeking Process Engineers to join its team in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
The role of the Process Engineer is to establish, define and supervise process parameters to ensure the quality and quantity of products produced.
Responsibilities
This position requires the successful candidate to ensure production and quality progress performance in their area of responsibility. Job responsibilities include:
- taking part in quality planning for products, materials, processes and methods;
- establishing and implementing quality standards and ensuring compliance;
- analyzing quality results;
- defining and implementing corrective and preventative action plans for improvement,
- designing and carrying out tests to evaluate changes with raw materials, equipment, automation and/or overall process;
- participating in quality planning, including feasibility studies;
- participating in product start-ups and evolutions;
- participating in projects and teams to resolve quality issues;
- acting as a liaison between the quality and technical departments; and,
- supporting operations by monitoring production quality, performance; and maintenance problems and participating in vital corrections.
Qualifications
Requirements for this position include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Process Engineering, or equivalent; and,
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following:
- strong mechanical awareness and comfort working around mechanical equipment; and,
- the ability to develop digital tools.

- well-organized and able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously; and,
- proven teamwork, interpersonal, leadership and planning skills.
