Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $53,670 - $65,730.

Acadia seeks a Coordinator, International Student Advising to maintain and enhance programs that support and meet the needs of Acadia's international student population.
Under the direction of the Manager, International Student Affairs, the Coordinator is responsible for international student advising, program development and implementation, providing leadership on international student concerns, and advocating and establishing a strong community support for close to 500 international students. Working with the local community and government organizations the Coordinator ensures positive, productive relationships between international students and surrounding communities.
This position is based out of Acadia's Wong International Centre (WIC) which offers international students a "home away from home" and is a hub for international student events and gatherings. The Coordinator will support the Manager in ensuring that the WIC continues to serve as the main co-curricular international student support Centre on-campus.
The Coordinator is responsible for supervising the International Intern and recruiting and supervising the volunteers in the Acadia International Mentor Program.
We are seeking a candidate who has a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years progressive experience in Canadian international student affairs (a combination of work, volunteer and lived experience will be considered) with an advanced understanding of international student issues in Canada.
Accreditation as a Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) or a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) will be considered an asset.
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and management.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to facilitate strong relationships with campus and community partners is required.
Ability to apply creativity and recommend strategies for engagement initiatives in response to cultural and social trends.
Proven strong intercultural competencies with an ability to establish rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.
Exceptional communication skills to work effectively and diplomatically with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
Applicants must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working in a technology supported environment.
Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule which may at times include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
