Provincial Clinical ChiefClinical Chief Medical Imaging

NL Health Services is the new Provincial Health Authority of Newfoundland and Labrador providing a full continuum of health and community services, including public health, long-term care, community services, hospital care, and unique provincial programs and services. across the province.
Job Summary
Consistent with NL Health Services mission, vision, values, and strategic direction, the Provincial Clinical Chief Medical Imaging (the Chief) is accountable for the leadership and management of program medical services including the provision of quality medical services, professional medical expertise, and knowledge to ensure the delivery of optimum levels of service within the available allocated resources and for the promotion of an interdisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. The Chief will maintain and promote positive public relations with all clients including patients, visitors, and staff.

The Chief is also responsible for the provision of advice to the leadership team on issues pertaining to Medical Imaging in the Province and ensuring that there is appropriate supervision and support to physicians within the program.

Required Qualifications
*To be considered the candidate must hold a Medical Degree.
*Demonstrates commitment to patient-focused care and evidence-based practice.
*Experience and/or academic preparation in health care management.
*Satisfy credentialing requirements of services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
*Must be eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NL (CPSL).
*Certification by the Royal College and Surgeons of Canada Certification (or equivalent) in Radiology.

Remuneration
A stipend will be provided for this position based on 2 days per week, 1 fixed day, and 1 flex day.
