We are currently seeking the services of a General Obstetrician/Gynecologist to provide periodic locums at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. This opportunity is available immediately to provide periodic locums.
Qualifications:
" Applicants must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador; the criteria for licensure are outlined on the CPSNL website (www.cpsnl.ca).
" Applicants must satisfy credentialing requirements for Labrador-Grenfell Health.
" Earned Medical Degree.
" Work experience is an asset.
" A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance.
" A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
Duties: (Included but not limited to)
" Running Obstetrics and Gynecology Out-Patient Clinic.
" Responsible for Inpatient Care.
" Tele-health.
" General Obstetrical and Gynecological Surgical Procedures.
" Coverage of on call commitments for Obstetrics and Gynecology, including weekends and holidays;.
" The successful candidate will work as a part of a Team of physicians and nurses to provide the required services identified above.
" The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
Salary:
" Remuneration for this position is $1800.00 per day.
Incentives:
* Labrador-Grenfell Health will cover licensing fees and CMPA fees.
* Labrador-Grenfell Health will cover costs of travel and meals.
* Labrador-Grenfell Health will provide accommodation and local travel (rental or agency vehicle).
Hours of Work:
" 75 hours Bi-weekly.
