You will be assisting Englobe Ottawa's instrumentation team with construction monitoring (noise, vibration, groundwater, settlement, etc.) for variety of high-profile projects throughout the Ottawa area, that require secret clearance. This position involves working both in the field and the office.

Your Contribution
As an Engineering Intern or Technician - Secret Cleared , you will work in collaboration with the Instrumentaion team
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Delivery of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring services to the public construction sector;
- Provide on-site noise, vibration, dust, settlement, and inclination and tilt monitoring for construction;
- Conduct site visits and provide building monitoring consulting;
- Coordination with subconsultants and subcontractors;
- Flexible hours and ability to compress working hours;
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.
Your Profile
- Must be Secret Cleared (federal clearance)
- Not necessary but an asset: degree in an engineering-, environmental-, or technology-based field or other applicable diploma;
- Valid provincial driver's license and access to reliable transportation;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to carry out assignments with minimal supervision;
- Is able to manage own time, when given a deliverable date as well as coordinate with other colleagues and subcontractors;
- Enjoys working both in the office and onsite;
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs;
- Performs field and office work as directed by senior staff;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strives for exactness while maintaining efficiency, has a high attention to detail;
- High level of integrity and work ethic;
- Comfortable with adapting as needed ;
- Knowledgeable about Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Teams ) ;
- Looking for long term career growth within consulting field ;
- Consistently executing prescribed technical procedures, safe work practices and work plans in a safe, efficient manner ;
- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
