The salary scale for Professional Support 3 is based on twelve steps that range from $62,071.93 - $86,777.47. New Professional Support may receive up to a maximum of seven steps for relevant occupational experience which is $74,518.78 annually.
What you will be doing…
You will be responsible for the coordination of the annual admissions process, including the assessment of applicant files, providing rationale for acceptances and denials to the College, managing enrolment numbers of a variety of programs, and liaising with academic Schools in the establishment of enrolment targets, capacity and program locations. This key role demands time management, accuracy, confidentiality, systems thinking and the ability to work under pressure and resolve conflict. Your knowledge of student records databases will allow you to utilize Peoplesoft, the College's primary student records database, in your day to day duties, including data entry, records retrieval and query, and report generation and analysis. You will provide recommendations for the future development and improvement of both the student records system and the associated business processes and policies. As a primary staff member of the Enrolment, Recruitment and Registrar team, you will build relationships, problem solve and be a champion for policy and procedures that promote fairness and equity both within NSCC and with external partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is an undergraduate degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Social Sciences, Education, Library and/or Information Technology.
- You have a minimum of three years of recent and related occupational experience in records management
- Occupational experience that includes Admissions at a post-secondary level would be considered an asset.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word. E-mail, student records or other records management systems. Knowledge of PeopleSoft or student information systems would be considered an asset.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology, and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience
- You have experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students

As a condition of employment, Professional Support employees at NSCC must complete a two-year (part-time) adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status; all probationary, full or part-time Professional Support employees of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term full-time Professional Support employees whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.
