The Dean's Office in the Faculty of Science provides leadership and management for the teaching and research endeavors of five departments - Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics.

Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week

Salary Range: $19.92 - $23.59

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Dean of Science, the Secretary PL3 supports activities in the Dean's office, from general office procedures to the support of student recruitment and retention events.

  • Provide administrative support to the Dean's Office.
  • Schedule meetings, take minutes, file, type, bind, scan, photocopy, and mailouts.
  • Provide logistical support for recruitment and retention events. Book rooms and equipment, set-up, tear-down, etc.
  • Support special projects as they occur. Provide data collection, statistics, and create presentations.
  • Manage account(s) and bookkeeping.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-Secondary in a business administration or a related field.
  • 2 years experience in an office setting.

Additional Strengths:

  • Familiar with general office procedure and software including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with MS TEAMS and SharePoint would be an asset.
