Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $52,361 - $64,127.

Acadia is seeking a Financial Analyst, Research Accounting in the department of Financial Services to play a key role in supporting the financial management activities related to all research activities at Acadia. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for research invoicing, managing research receivables, and reporting with assigned university researchers. The Analyst will be highly knowledgeable on all University financial software and provide assistance to research personnel users as required. This role is one of the first points of contact of Financial Services for researchers and their supporting personnel.
Reporting to the Manager, Research Accounting, the Financial Analyst will support the management of research grants and funding, providing financial support to Researchers and their team members, and ensuring the compliance and accuracy of financial reporting. The Financial Analyst is responsible for developing a comprehensive accounts receivable report for all research accounts, develop processes and procedures for data integration from Colleague Finance to the research accounts receivable report, reviewing and reconciling reports, and coordinating with external funding agencies and organizations regarding funding agreements.
Completion of a post-secondary program with concentration in accounting/business required.
Experience with relational database accounting systems will be considered an asset, as well as knowledge of the Colleague Financial System.
Must be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of computerized accounting systems as well as MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
Experience in training is considered an asset.
Excellent judgement and analytical skills are necessary for this role. Demonstrated accuracy and the ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly convey financial details to stakeholders.
