Position Summary:
Bell MTS is seeking post-secondary students to join our Network Services department for a four month summer work term.
In this role, assignments and deliverables will be limited in scope and complexity; as the successful candidate you may participate in medium to large or moderate to complex assignments under close supervision of your leaders and the project managers, and may work independently on smaller assignments for which your leaders are accountable for the work deliverables. You may perform accountabilities in one or more of the areas within Network Services including Network Planning, Network Assurance, Technology Development, IP Traffic Engineering, Project Management, and Network Provisioning.
You will have the opportunity to learn by following standardized practices and procedures and detailed work instructions to perform the work, which will be monitored and reviewed closely by your leaders on a regular basis, allowing them to provide you with valuable feedback.

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program related to Engineering or Computer Science.
• Knowledge of any of the following technologies, or other related technologies: distribution components (DSLAMs (ADSL, VDSL, VDSL2), VSEM, MALC, Carriers, PON (cards only), HDSL components), premise termination devices (Optical Network Terminators (ONT), Residential Gateways (RG), Set Top Boxes (STB), and Cisco CPE); WCDMA and LTE capacity augments and new site turn-ups; BB Lotus Notes database, NETADMIN mailbox, Ethernet switches, and Fibre.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity tools with an emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to analyze and problem solve using sound judgment for decision making.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
• Ability to be a team player able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.
