New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking dynamic individuals for the position of Accounts Receivable Agent (ASL 4), which can be located at any NBCC location.
The positions available are:
- One full-time regular position, beginning as soon as possible
- One full-time term position, beginning as soon as possible and ending March 2024, with the possibility of extension or becoming regular.

You will be collaborating with the Accounts Receivable Coordinator under the leadership of the Lead, Team Transactional, and be responsible for the accounts receivable transactions related to student and staff accounts, invoicing, billing, and account reconciliations ensuring compliance with NBCC's policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Verifying and auditing the debts, credits, and coding of journal entries for accuracy prior to uploading to Oracle
- Providing support and advising clients on all aspects of the cash management process
- Consulting with stakeholders on any issues
- Generating and collecting invoices for sponsored students, the bookstore, room rentals and the copy center
- Processing validated payments
- Generating reports for reconciliation purposes of payments and refunds
- Analyzing and authenticating all unreconciled payments
- Assisting in dispute resolution on student accounts such as missing payments, merging duplicate accounts, charges, and reversals
- Reallocating incorrect payments and charges to the correct terms and/or academic item type
- Continuously identifying and evaluating business opportunities to improve systems and processes to reduce cost, mitigate risks and increase efficiencies
- Assisting with special projects as required
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field with recent and related years of experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with business partners
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and consistently deliver on-time and accurate results
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

This is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Administrative and Program Support Services Group) for the College.
