Connors Transfer Limited is currently seeking an experienced Operations Planner to work out of our Woodstock NB office.
The key functions include:
  • Planning and communicating driver dispatches to meet customer expectations for on-time service
  • Updating the system to ensure computer work reflects real-time events for drivers; trucks; and loads
  • Utilization of the assets to minimize empty or bobtail miles
  • Regular communication with other team members to ensure customer needs are met
  • Scheduling truck and trailer repairs with maintenance department
  • Managing trailer banks within the Maritimes
  • Coordinating training and safety performance of drivers with the Safety Department

The successful candidate should:
  • Have at least 3 years of planning experience in a long-haul transportation environment
  • Be flexible allowing for various shifts and workdays.
  • Have a "make it happen" focus while maintain strong respect for drivers and staff members.
  • Be decisive and demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Strong computer skills.
