Your Contribution

As a Geotechnical Engineer, this candidate will work in collaboration with the Geotechnical Department, report to the Team Lead, and support a wide variety of projects. This role will be, but not limited to:

  • Conducting and leading geotechnical engineering designs, managing project schedules and budgets, preparing proposals and cost estimates
  • Writing and/or reviewing geotechnical reports, specifications, and other deliverables related to a variety of geotechnical projects including low and high-rise buildings, commercial and industrial buildings, slope stability and erosion risk assessment studies, and subdivision development
  • Designing project specific field investigation programmes and laboratory testing programmes to meet the deliverable requirements
  • Conducting Slope stability analysis and geotechnical designs to meet the regulatory requirements for Conservation Authorities and other government agencies
  • To sign and seal geotechnical reports; mentoring junior engineers/EITs and technicians; reviewing proposals and reports prepared by junior engineers/EITs,
  • Liaising regularly with clients (contractors, developers including government and regulatory agencies) to ensure project requirements are met with respect to deliverable requirements, schedule and budgets, billing
  • Fostering client relationships throughout the project life cycle including acting in a technical advisory role
  • To promote and market Terraprobe's services by establishing and maintaining positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Your Profile

  • P.Eng. License with Professional Engineers of Ontario with 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Valid G class driver's licence; comfortable driving within and outside the GTA
  • Strong collaborative and independent working skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; experience report writing
  • Demonstrated interest and sensitivity towards occupational health and safety
  • Comfortable with occasional out of town travel for project related works as required
  • Proven commitment to providing excellent client service and enjoy working in a team environment and independently

Qualifications:
