Paladin Security Group (NB) Ltd. is looking for individuals who could work on multiples environment.

Position Details:

Position: Casual Security Guard (possibility to get Full-Time)

Site: Multi-Sites

Overtime: Overtime (excess of 44 hours)

Hours: As needed

Payrate: $19.56~$25.42/hour (depending on job type/post)

Key responsibilities:

  • Patrol Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of premises, including parking areas, hallways, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.
  • Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
  • Access Control: Monitor and control entry points, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist staff as needed during crises and evacuations.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, and staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.
  • Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.
  • Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.

Prerequisites:

  • Covid Vaccine two doses
  • Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test
  • English (oral and written) and / or French (oral and written) ** Depending of the site
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and / or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
