MPE, an Englobe company is seeking a Civil Technologist to join our team in our Winnipeg Office.

Your Contribution
  • Works with the Project Managers and alongside colleagues, actively supports the development of civil municipal designs during design and construction to ensure efficient and sustainable project delivery
  • Reinforces the development of standards related to our civil engineering drawings, ensuring best practices for project design and delivery, and when applicable sustainable building construction
  • Prepares preliminary schematics and layouts as directed by senior team members
  • Reviews drawings for interferences with other disciplines
  • Utilizes industry specific software and related technologies in design
  • When necessary, involvement with a variety of agencies for project approvals and permitting purposes
  • Successfully develops relationships with engineers, technologists, technicians, and construction personnel
  • Meets with clients regarding projects, progress reporting, and the resolution of technical issues, when required
  • Conducts necessary research to gather industry, field and project specific data
  • Other duties, as required

Your Profile
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
  • Municipal and Civil Infrastructure projects; water distribution, wastewater collection, transportation, stormwater management and drainage systems
  • Experience with lift stations, pumping systems and treatment systems would be an asset
  • Report writing and document preparation
  • Construction contract management
  • Project management including cost estimation and budgeting
  • Client and contractor liaison
  • Design coordination and construction inspections
  • Aptitude for general construction methods
  • Self-motivated with leadership skills
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Eligibility for professional membership in ASET
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Qualifications:
