The Public Safety Radio team within Bell is seeking an individual that enjoys working directly with customers and in an autonomous and a diverse environment. This individual will lead a team that plans, designs, builds, and operates networks providing managed services for Public Safety and Commercial users. The Radio team expects its employees to be engaged to deliver a superior quality of service and promptness expected by our customers.

Job Function Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Director, National Radio Operations, the successful candidate will lead a team of Radio Engineers and Radio Specialists accountable for the Engineering of the Bell Mobility Public Safety and Commercial Radio Networks. The Manager will have the following accountabilities/responsibilities:
• Lead a dynamic team of professionals (engineers, specialists) through ongoing team development and coaching.
• Support our sales & account team with technical bid responses for Radio Request for Proposals, (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs), and other customer requests.
• Develop and maintain on-going relationships with major Radio customers.
• Plan and manage the Radio Network CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Support the delivery of Radio Network Performance metrics and KPIs.
• Deliver Engineered Radio network solutions including P25, DMR, Logging, and Dispatch Consoles.
• Work closely with technology partners on lifecycle management of networks 
• Support process improvements and alignment across multifunctional teams.
• Lead internal and external process changes to drive team efficiencies

Essential Qualifications:
• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience specializing in Radio and Public Safety Networks
• A proven track record in successfully leading technical teams
• Experience in P25, DMR, Tetra, and LTE an asset 
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Radio Network Engineering 
• 3-5 years experience or equivalent in wireless engineering management
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and project/time management skills
• Self-sufficient and strong ability to drive and adapt to changes
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and with changing technology
• Ability to motivate others and promote team spirit and employee value
• Excellent analytical skills 
• Experience managing departmental budgets and provide guidance to others for cost containment 





Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
