NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent leader for the position of Content Creator/Videographer. Our College is committed to transforming lives and communities. Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Creative Services, the Content Creator supports the College by helping us tell the stories of our students, staff, alumni and community stakeholders. A gifted story-teller, the ideal candidate will use video, audio and photography to share the extraordinary potential in everyone.
As the ideal candidate for this position, you will be:
- Able to conceive, direct, shoot and edit compelling stories for all our social and digital platforms.
- Create engaging, informative content using a combination of text, still photography, video, audio, and graphics.
- Extract new stories and content from existing footage.
- Develop both short and long form videos that speak to our audiences.
- Act as our official photographer and / or videographer at events and gatherings.
- Familiar with how to develop material in formats suitable for web, social and all broadcast media (including TV, cinema, radio, and podcasts).
- Collaborate closely with internal clients and external suppliers to facilitate the creation of content.

- Develop production plans and schedules for assigned projects.
- Ensure buy-in by articulating vision through storyboarding, scripting and schematics based on project objectives and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Creative Services team to support members, on an as needed basis, on all communications, marketing and promotional materials, projects and other work undertaken by this department.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant and recent experience in video, photography, editing and full-time content creation.
- Extensive knowledge of multimedia tools, equipment, and applications.
- Experience with digitizing and organizing audio, photography, and video assets.
- Knowledge of editing software, such as Cubase, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud: After Effects, Illustrator, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere.
- Travel to our campus locations will be required, so you must hold a valid Class B driver's license.
- Experience with drone operation and podcast equipment considered an asset.

Candidates MUST also include a link(s) to a portfolio of work that includes examples of photography, videography and any content that demonstrates their skill in crafting a compelling story using still and moving images.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
