Your Contribution
The scope of work is to support the engineering team in the provision of resident/site Architectural services across the Site C Balance of Plant contracts.
  • Interior architecture of the Site C Operations Building, including office space and trades personnel shop spaces.
  • Interior and exterior architecture of an industrial pump building, fish sorting facility, and mixed-use garage.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the contract scope/specifications/drawings and contractor prepared drawings/submittals, providing oversight on behalf of the Architect of Record, to ensure each contractor's work activities are completed in conformance with the design/approved work methods.
  • Provide and coordinate signoff of contractor hold points as required by the contract documents.
  • Use construction experience to proactively anticipate, identify and assist with the mitigation of contractor interfaces and/or related construction risks. Elevate issues that may change or not match the design intent to the Architect of Record and work collaboratively with the Architect of Record , site team, and the contractor to resolve the issues.
  • Prepare written construction progress reports.
  • Host site visits for Project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to Project stakeholders/regulators.

Your Profile
  • 3 years of experience in installation and testing of architectural parts and equipment.
  • Experience with industrial construction.
  • Experience working independently on large scale industrial construction projects would be an asset.
  • Diploma of Architecture or equivalent. Candidates with a civil engineering background may be considered if they have applicable architectural experience.
  • Job site is 7 km outside of Fort Saint John, camp accommodation available.
  • The work shift is 10 hours a day and either 10 days at site, 4 days off or two weeks at site, one week off.
  • Must provide proof of COVID vaccination.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 BC driver's licence.

Qualifications:
