IT Systems Analyst

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Implementation, the IT Systems Analyst will be responsible for:
  • The planning, implementation, administration, support, and documentation of a variety of datacenter, infrastructure, and application environments
  • Own and modify appropriate system configuration settings; establish best practices and maintenance standards for assigned systems
  • Identification and investigation of hardware and software issues, performing root cause analysis, and implement an action plan for the resolution and dissemination of conclusions
  • Function as a subject matter expert for architecture, performance tuning, capacity planning, and design of new and upcoming technologies
  • Proactive monitoring, reporting, and management of datacenter and application environments on a day-to-day basis
  • Applying enhancements and/or fixes as necessary to maintain system performance and meet security standards
  • Develop and upkeep of documentation for all responsible environments. Perform official change control as necessary
  • Acts as subject-matter expert (SME) and provide after-hour support and on-call support as required

A successful candidate will have:
  • A minimum of three years' experience with Windows Server platforms
  • A minimum of three years' experience administering VMware environments (6.x and 7.x)
  • Experience with Enterprise backup technologies, including Veeam
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory administration
  • Experience with SQL Server administration considered an asset
  • Strong customer service and oral/written communication skills required
  • The ability to work independently and produce results, given general priorities, required
  • Demonstrated abilities as a self-starter, able to prioritize tasks and stay organized
  • Experience troubleshooting complex systems issues, strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
