Reporting to the Manager, University Security, the Security Operations Supervisor / Dispatcher provides daily operational supervision for University Security Officers and on-site Security contract staff both engaged in emergency responses, safety and security patrols, campus access control, parking enforcement and additional security assignments as may be required. In absence of the Manager, University Security, acts as the Management contact, whenever support is needed.
Group affiliation for this position is with the Administrative, Professional, Confidential (APC) Group. The position is evaluated at a Group Four (4) (salary range $50,491 - $65,068). Salary scale can be viewed here.

To be the successful Security Operations Supervisor/Dispatcher you will have completed high school plus a minimum of two (2) years in a credential program related to Law Enforcement, Security, Policing, Justice, Social Work and/or Criminology at a university, college or institute level. You will have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of directly related work experience and will possess Advanced Medical First Responder certificate or have willingness to attain. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment, effective customer service skills and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint). You must be available to take emergency calls twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week.
Assets for this position include supervisory experience in a unionized environment, experience in Emergency Management and related training, training in Incident Command System (ICS), experience with fire and intrusion systems and experience with CCTV systems.
