The Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) - Campus de Campbellton is looking for people to fill occasional needs as an instructor in the distance education program of Supportive Care Assistant.

JOB DESCRIPTION: As a member of the teaching team and reporting to the department head of the sector, the chosen person will teach various theoretical and practical courses of the program, as well as supervise clinical work placements. Among other things, the person will:

  • Prepare lesson plans, develop teaching materials as needed, assess student progress, monitor and supervise them and supervise them on work placements;
  • Participate in the updating of the curriculum and perform administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling, clinical work placement management and quality management;
  • May also be called upon to teach in other programs related to the health field or to teach other related subjects;
  • May be called upon to sit on working committees, at CCNB and outside.

PLEASE NOTE THAT AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2021: Any candidate not currently employed by CCNB or in the New Brunswick Public Service will need to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, or a valid medical certificate exempting them from the vaccine before a job offer can be made.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse in a long-term care facility and be a member in good standing of the New Brunswick Nurses Association (NANB);


Post-secondary Diploma in Nursing and five (5) years of experience as a nurse in a long-term care facility and be a member in good standing of the New Brunswick Nurses Association (NANB);


Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma and five (5) years of experience as a licensed practical nurse in a long-term care facility and be a member in good standing of the Association of Licensed Practical Nurses of New Brunswick (ANBLPN).

Work experience as a nurse or nursing assistant in long-term care or geriatrics departments and clinical placement supervision would be an asset.

Other important skills: Excellent knowledge of English, spoken and written. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required. Have a good record of performance and attendance.

Status: Casual full-time, starting as soon as possible and ending December 17, 2021
Salary: According to the group's collective agreement in force: Education (instructors) (From $ 2,059 to $ 3,166 biweekly, depending on training and experience)
