Salary range: $49,629.66 to $58,387.83 annually
For the 2021-22 Academic Year, based on public health guidelines, NSCC plans to return to more in-person learning, supports and services. You may be required to work on campus, remotely or a combination of both as the Academic Year begins and progresses. This will be clarified further upon hire.
As the Administrative Assistant to the Principal at Ivany Campus, you will play an important role in the coordination of Ivany Campus and College operations. The incumbent is a central contact person Ivany Campus and has a significant contribution to building and nurturing a sense of community and inclusion. You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day administrative functions of the office of the Principal and the greater campus community. You will support the overall coordination of campus communications including updating and maintaining the Ivany Campus Connect site. You will have responsibility for filing systems (electronic and hard copy), oversee expense claims and invoices; have calendar management responsibilities; be responsible for all meeting logistics and for providing confidential administrative support on various matters for the principal's office.
You will be responsible for coordinating and tracking information, taking and distributing meeting minutes, maintaining electronic applications and tools in the Office 365 suite and coordinating materials and meeting arrangements for the campus management team as well as Ivany Campus Staff and Committee meetings. You are versatile, flexible and experienced in supporting administrative activities. This position requires a high level of initiative with an incumbent who anticipates needs and takes proactive measures within scope of authority.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a Certificate and/or Diploma in Business or Office Administration.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of recent and related occupational experience in general office administration and/or Administrative Assistant experience.
- Occupational experience that includes administrative support to an Executive role or a senior leader would be considered an asset.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, One Note, SharePoint, Forms, Teams, Publisher, Word and Excel.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
You have experience in administrating projects and coordinating teams to meet milestones and deadlines.
You are highly organized and able to coordinate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
