Privateers Harley-Davidson in Halifax, NS is an authorized dealer of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and products. We currently have an opening in our Service Department for an Apprentice Technician. We are looking for someone who loves this living and lifestyle (because we do!)
- To enter a 1-2-year in-house training program to become a technician
- Assist Service Manager with all duties, washing bikes, pick up/delivery, moving bikes in and out of service
- Learn Service Writer position and fill in as required
- Inspect and book bikes coming into service
- Start with basic repairs and installing parts to learn skills required to become a technician
- Willingness to actively maintain/complete training coursed outlined by Service Manager by deadlines set by manufacturer
- Access manufacture online service and parts manual
- Other related duties
- Motorcycle or small engine repair training or experience
- Good work ethic
- Strong team player
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and follow manufacturer recommended repair protocols
- Ability to use computers and retrieve manuals, look up parts, etc.
