Lounsbury Group of Companies has an immediate opening for an IT Administrator.
Reporting to the Information Communication & Technology (ICT) Manager, the IT Administrator is responsible for providing expert Information Technology (IT) system support services across the organization. You must be proficient in hardware and software installation and maintenance.

- Provide internal IT support to employees of the company including hardware and software issues, password resets, and network issues
- Assist in maintaining server security, software updates, hardware maintenance etc.
- Set up new users and remove old users
- Maintenance and backup of the Company's computer inventory, including Windows updates
- Maintaining and keeping the Company's telecommunication systems running with minimal downtime (phones, internet, printers)
- Assist with the planning, development, and management of all IT services, programs, and support
- Provide support for company cell phones, including setting up new phones and trouble shooting any hardware or software issues
- Repair or replace damaged hardware (computers, printers, access points, monitors, etc.)
- Assist with capacity planning for network bandwidth, storage requirements, messaging, Web sites, and other applications
- Monitor alerts from management software, antivirus, and Microsoft Office 365 to provide a proactive approach to preventing hardware failure or security breaches
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in computer science, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset
- Advanced overall knowledge of networking, operating system, and servers
- Proficiency with VPN networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies
- Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Excellent problem solving skills
WORK CONDITIONS
- Travel may be required
- Overtime as required
- Lifting or moving up to 25lbs may be required
- This position requires someone who is physically fit, who is able to crouch, and maneuver into small spaces (i.e. under desks)
