Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring corporate financial policy and will secure financing for various aspects of our business consistent with corporate strategy. You will support the CFO in areas of developing and evaluating financing strategies appropriate for the long term success and goals of the companies in our group and be responsible for the related structuring and presentation of those strategies utilizing your corporate finance background. You will be able to engage in dialogue with senior bankers, advisors, and at the CEO/CFO levels regarding alternative capital structures and formulating the risks and impact for the development and implementation of such structures within a growth oriented entrepreneurial environment. Additional responsibilities will include establishing, leading, directing, coordinating, and mentoring a team in the analysis and execution of capital raising activities and special projects related to corporate development such as analysis of acquisitions, capital expenditure plans, etc.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Will be responsible for maintaining/enhancing relationships with banks/capital providers and also accountable for establishing new banking/capital provider relationships.
  • Participating in timely analysis, structuring and preparation of financial proposals and work closely with financial institutions and investment banks to secure financing.
  • Oversee preparation and submission of credit requests, ensuring they are in line with current policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate instrument terms, conditions and documentation with lenders, institutional investors, and credit rating agencies to lead to successful closing of financings.
  • Provide recommendations on capital structure and financing alternatives and articulating the clear link to achieving corporate strategic goals.
  • Provide concise rationale supporting actions and recommendations.
  • Provide succinct analysis of key risks and mitigants for existing or proposed financing alternatives.
  • Provide sound recommendations in the negotiation of terms and conditions satisfactory to the CEO, CFO and Executive.
  • International travel required.

Experience:
  • Knowledge of all lending and institutional credit products, credit processes and credit documentation to facilitate prompt execution of financing transactions.
  • Significant experience in analyzing and presenting risk/credit scenarios with multiple banks and lenders.
  • In-depth understanding of credit structuring for non-investment grade and leveraged lending and knowledge of other capital structure areas including Investment Banking, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Hybrid Equity/ Debt structures, Acquisition Finance, Risk Management, etc.
  • 7+ years of Corporate Finance, Corporate Lending and/or Investment Banking experience.
  • Financial modeling experience and the completion of a formal credit training program is required.
  • MBA/CFA/CPA designation is preferred.
  • A second language would be considered an asset.
