We are seeking an excellent communicator with proven management abilities to join the Corporate Actions team. The Corporate Actions Specialist will manage a group of individuals in relation to all corporate action events for securities held with the Custodian and will execute both routine and complex transactions. This position will report to the Custody Operations Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- supervising a small team and ensuring effective job training and career development
- managing the daily workload of corporate actions to ensure completion and accuracy
- formulating and documenting procedures that includes a system of checks to ensure accuracy of input
- ensuring corporate action event notices are sent to the Client Administrators on a timely basis
- ensuring Custodian receives corporate action responses on or before the deadline
- balancing and reconciling reports and other control documents to ensure prompt settlement of securities income
- researching, documenting and implementing new methods, processes and procedures
Your qualifications and skills include:
- bachelor's degree in business or equivalent with at least five years' experience in a similar environment, at least two of which have been responsible for interacting with corporate action events
- thorough knowledge of securities administration
- proven ability to manage employees
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
