GEMTEC currently has an opening for a Civil Technician in our Halifax office location. The successful candidate will have experience in general construction activities, materials testing and inspection services.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• College Level Diploma is considered an asset
• Experience with materials testing and inspection is considered an asset
• Experience working with computer assisted drafting (CAD) and surveying is considered an asset
• Experience working in civil construction is considered an asset

Main Duties:

• Laboratory testing of aggregates, soils, concrete and asphalt
• Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt
• Other duties as required

• The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license and will be responsible to have a vehicle for work although company vehicles may also be provided depending on the project
