Brilliant Labs is hiring a full-time Program Specialist. This position will support the Provincial Program Director and aims to help youth foster an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit throughout the region by helping them develop coding and computational skills.
The successful candidate will be working to support teachers and students, and working with local community partners throughout the region. The hours for this position are flexible and will vary depending on current projects. Some weekends and evenings will be required when necessary to support Community events. The individual selected will be responsible for scheduling their hours to meet the 37.5 hours a week requirement.

The successful applicant must demonstrate both an ability to be self-motivated and work well as part of a collaborative team. Ongoing training and professional guidance will be provided. Annual Salary range: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00
Supporting and reporting to the provincial Program Director
Supporting youth and educators in integrating coding and technology with curricula
Developing and supporting youth led school and community based makerspaces and innovative projects.
Implementation of academic and extra-curricular programming for kids
Assisting and leading professional learning sessions for educators
Facilitating special events to raise awareness about coding, innovation, and technology in local communities
Applicant must be bilingual.
Successfully Complete the Policy 701 Assessment in New Brunswick or equivalent in other provinces;
Have a valid Criminal Record and vulnerable sector check;
Demonstrate perseverance and a passion for learning;
Experience with project management.
Experience or knowledge of the Google Suite is an asset, but not required
Applicant should have knowledge of K-12 education system
Previous experience working with electronics, coding, multi-media production, and video editing an asset
Be willing to work evenings and weekends when required
Ability to work from home and travel to support schools and communities.
Ability to organize, and learn to maintain, transport, and deploy technological equipment such as 3D printers and robotics. You will be responsible for adding software, tracking equipment, delivering equipment, fixing equipment and more.
Ability to adapt their schedule to fit the needs of schools and make changes and/or reschedule (due to school cancellations, 'emergency' last minute project support, etc.)
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience required
