Our firm has roots dating back to 1965 and many of our partners and staff have spent in excess of 10 years working for large international accounting firms. Our firm provides services to a broad range of clients including entrepreneurial businesses and corporate groups of companies, publicly accountable entities, financial institutions, pension plans, mutual insurance companies, First Nations, professional services firms, manufacturing, retail and automotive businesses, not-for-profit organizations, foundations, charities and many high net worth individuals. We are a growing firm and are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Accounting Technician.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide accounting services to our small and medium sized clients
  • Perform bookkeeping and reconciliation procedures including recording banking and accrual transactions
  • Preparation of HST filings, T4's, T5's, etc
  • Preparation of personal tax returns
  • Preparation of Notice to Reader financial statements and corporate tax returns
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client management and staff

Qualifications and required skills:

  • Previous experience in a public accounting practice would be a significant asset
  • Excellent skills in accounting software such as Sage and Quickbooks
  • Excellent skills in excel and word
  • Strong customer service skills and exceptional relationship management abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Work effectively in a team environment and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
