A not-for-profit corporation since 1891, the Nova Scotia Dental Association represents the interests of the province's dentists, providing member support and promoting good oral health to Nova Scotians. The Association's mission is "helping dentists be better dentists in service to Nova Scotians". The Association is seeking the skills of a fulltime Communications Manager to join the team at its Bedford, NS office. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Manager is tasked with developing and conducting communications strategies for key audiences both external and internal. Media relations, membership magazine design and production, website and social media updating, advertising and budgeting are all key components of the role. In addition, the Communications Manager is expected to play a key role in special events planning and serving as the Association's communications representative for national projects.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience, and formal education in public relations. Strong writing skills are a must, and membership in a professional communications organization (CPRS, IABC or FICPRA) is a definite asset.
